Silverstone is the home of F1 racing and held the first-ever Grand Prix race in 1950.To celebrate this Silverstone created an exhibition titled Silverstone Interactive.
The design of Silverstone Interactive celebrates this by acknowledging the chequered flag used ever since the first race at Silverstone and using it as a key component in the design direction.
The squares of the flag can be used to create iconography which forms the fundamental aesthetics of the Silverstone Interactive design. The squares also form the 6x6 grid on which all the assets are based.
